- The line is not strong enough
for the kite size or the wind force.
- The line delivered with
the kite is suitable for a wind up to Beaufort 4 or 5.
- For stronger winds ,
you must use stronger lines.
- When tightening, the line
has rubbed on a abrasive or cutting obstacle.
- The lines are full of abrasive
salt or sand grains. You must clean your lines after using.
- The knots are badly done and
reduce the lines strenght.
- You have done too many turns
in the same side with a strong wind.
- Nota 1st : a knot reduces
every time the strenght of a line. Consequently, a line which breaks
from the middle part has rubbed before.
- Nota 2nd : a too strong line
makes the kite heavier and makes its performance lower. So, it is logical
to use several lines for the same kite, depending the wind force.
